Our Team
Steve Buchanan
After graduating top in his class in 1980 from his vocational high school, Steve joined the construction team at Deck House, Inc. in Acton, MA where he worked for 13 years. There he worked with the structural components unique to Deck House homes before moving out into the field building Deck House homes on site.
In 1993, Steve established his own construction company, Buchanan Custom Builders, becoming a fully licensed and insured Massachusetts contractor, specializing on the building and remodeling needs of Deck House customers throughout the New England area.
Steve has been featured in New England Home magazine as one of New England’s “Busiest and Most-Talented” builders, was selected in 2012 as a speaker at FoMA's (Friends of Modern Architecture) "Deck House Symposium" in Lincoln, Ma., and most recently had one of his custom built sheds featured in This Old House magazine.
